When increasing the size of a plate, all of its resonant frequencies will shift downwards. We may then produce more complex patterns at lower frequencies! The patterns should, to my awareness, be producible on regular square plates with a fixed center. I have not tried it on a physical plate yet. I have only seen some confirmed by others. Image is computer-generated. Red means above 0 height while blue means below (or the other way around, as it oscillates). Assuming same material and thickness on all plates.
